Needle Thicket
Digital wavetable · acs47djb
Play it on your computer keyboard: A–K (white keys), W E T Y U (black keys), Z/X octave down/up.
A narrow pulse with no low end opens into a dense tangle of high harmonics as the frames advance. Ring modulation gives it a metallic edge that stays harsh throughout. Without any fundamental, it sits entirely in the upper registers, making it best layered over a sound that provides the pitch body.
